Saturday morning weigh in....

I cannot remember the last time I really pushed myself to ensure that I weigh in. Normally it would be a case of I will go to my normal meeting next week but for some reason this week I needed to weigh.  I have been in Queensland for work (no holidaying for moi) and food wise I must say this trip went really well, better than expected in fact.

So another drum roll please.... this week I lost 1.4kgs taking my two week total to -2.5kgs!!  I am on fire - I am loving this believing in myself caper!!

The weekend is here....

Yes I know it's early but I am so programmed with early starts a sleep in is often not an option.  I find the weekends hard as I am at home and not under the regimented food reign at work.  Yes believe it or not work food is easier for me than home food.....

 I had a blow out last night after dinner - damn open bags of crisps!! The kids had some salt and vinegar crisps and there was some left in the bag - guess which fatty boombah ate them?? ME!! I have to learn to seal them and put them out of sight.  Yes I am angry at myself a little but it's okay - must move on and make better choices today. 


What are my plans today? The day will be filled with housework (it never ends), grocery shopping (I am sticking to the list) and footy club bookwork (yuk but needs to be done). I am also aiming to get some me time and read some more of my novel "Fifty Shades of Grey" which I am becoming quite addicted to.

I am an 80's girl.....

It's been a hell of a long time coming but thanks to a 1.1kg loss tonight I am now officially an 80's girl.

89kgs exactly!!!

Weigh in......

As 5pm Thursday draws closer I normally always start to feel anxious... wondering whether or not my efforts for the past week have been worth it.  Tonight was different!  Tonight I wanted to weigh in.. strange as it sounds?

Since Monday I have had a new found motivation and willingness to get back on the weight loss wagon and do something for me... but then again you may have already guessed that :)

I have been quite good in the food stakes since Monday especially considering last week was awful and out of control mainly due to my head not being in the right space.

Anyway... drum roll please.... tonight I weighed in at 89.0kgs which means a LOSS of -1.1kgs!!  WOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!

TL: 1.1kgs

Better choices...

A new day and I vowed to be back on track today after yesterday's lunch so I got myself organised again.

Work went well all morning with a meeting where I had to do a Housekeeping Photo Capture Presentation.  Even though I had the best intention today - today involved another lunch.  With a better menu to choose from today at The Groove Train I chose the Fish of the Day which was pan fried Barramundi, sweet potato discs, wilted spinach finished with a caper and tomato salsa.  It was very nice, not overly huge (thankfully) but I have to say I was really impressed with my choice.

Dinner was Middle Eastern Beef Meatballs totally yummo!!!!

Weigh in tomorrow and I am actually excited :)

Bad food choice ALREADY!

Day two was planned but not executed precisely.  I had plan to ensure I purchased a salad roll or a salad plate for lunch but the venue where we were located for our work didn't have a great deal to choose from so I chose the best I could.  I will not let it hamper my efforts as this will not be the first or last time that I will face such a challenge!!

SO I choose the hamburger over pizza and pasta options.  The menu was very limited and I mean disappointing considering it was a large hotel chain in town.  I chose a hamburger but was surprised when it was surrounded by salad and chips, both of which were not listed as part of the dish.  Needless to say, a few hours later I actually didn't feel too great for eating it but will not beat myself up at my choice either.  I made it, it is done, end of story.

Thankfully four close friends of mine are battling the same weight loss demons as I so it is making my journey easier by sharing and supporting with them. They are all very important people in my life and we have vowed to be there for each other.

So I did blow out - but once again I will remain calm and ensure that tomorrow is a better day!

Operation ME - has just started!

Today is the day that kicks off Operation Me.... a total lifestyle change for this Little Piggy.  No more stuffing around.. it's about getting back to basics, using the knowledge I have but more importantly doing what is right for me.

Yep one of the hardest challenges I will face in this change is the challenge of putting myself FIRST!!  I once read that "if you cannot help yourself how on earth can you expect to help others especially those that you love?"  Very true!!

I have decided that I will track my food in a food diary and not on here.  Sorry to disappoint but most of our meals can be and will be found on A Dash Of Flavour.  Should I could something that I really want to share with you I will don't worry about that and will link you to the recipe, such as Slow Cooked Sticky Pork which was truly flavoursome and filling even if I do say so myself.


I have a total of 31 daunting kgs to loose to reach my WW goal weight of 59 (which at this stage is scary and I am unsure of that figure) but have decided to focus on 1kg per week with of course some milestones to spur me on and go from there. I believe that smaller goals are more achievable and therefore more motivating.

1st Milestone for me is 5%. So with a start weight of 90.1kgs that will be 85.6kgs.
2nd Milestone for me is 10%. So that will be: 81.1kgs.
3rd Milestone for me is 15%. So that will be: 76.6kgs
4th Milestone for me is 20%. So that will be: 72.1kgs.
5th Milestone for me is 25%. So that will be: 67.6kgs.
6th Milestone for me is 30%. So that will be: 63.1kgs.
7th Milestone for me will be GOAL - 59kgs (unless I reassess as I go along).
